I first met Richard at Hope Church Bromley returning to church after being absent from illness for a long time, we sat next to eachother and shared our stories. We both knew how it was to be a Christian but also have that life threatening reality in our lives . Richards warmth came across immediately and we started a wonderful close friendship from that point. Richard always cared for my well-being and often would call and text, we also shared the same sense of humour. I’ll never forget the time Richard and I were at Guys Hospital at the same time for appointments. I was trying to park in the Guys Car park but ended up getting verbally attacked over a car parking space which came close to a fight , I had accidentally left my phone on so Richard heard and left the cancer unit and came running round the corner to help me like Superman 😀 which he was! Will really miss your husband Sally and your special dad boys . He was a great loyal friend . Lots of love Lisa xx
